Important NOTES Read Fully:

This is an ONSITE POSITION. Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite full-time for the duration of the contract. Remote work WILL NOT be considered. ONLY SUBMIT LOCAL CANDIDATES.

Candidates will be based out of the worksite address noted in the details above, but they also have 11 other sites across the County that may need to be visited. The County has a vehicle to be used for travel to these sites, but the contractor must have a valid drivers license and insurance to be able to operate the Countys vehicle.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Anne Arundel County Dept of Health is in need of a Help Desk Desktop Support resource.

This position performs help desk support while planning, integrating, and maintaining software and hardware for the Departments local and wide area network. The primary responsibilities include providing on site technical services to users and assisting with special projects, including the installation, configuration and upgrade of hardware and software, diagnostics of software and hardware problems and make repairs and adjustments or obtains service from software, hardware vendors or maintenance vendors.

Required Skills:

Professional experience working in a help desk technical support role researching & answering user questions & troubleshooting user problems 2 Years

Experience maintaining, monitoring, patching, and reimaging workstations 2 Years

Experience assisting both onsite users as well as remote users 2 Years

Experience planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area computer networks 2 Years

Experience troubleshooting hardware software, network computers and printers, and a variety of supported applications 2 Years

Experience and understanding of TCP IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policies, and File Permissions

Experience with maintaining inventory for computer hardware

Physical ability to lift 50 pounds

Valid drivers license
