ASML’s Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) department consists out of a team of 150+ professionals. The team operates world-wide and is based in Veldhoven (HQ) with teams in the US and Asia. The RBA department is in the middle of a large transformational program to implement their integrated risk management methodology to enable ASML to achieve its vision, mission and business objectives responsibly. New tooling and processes are being developed and implemented, which also need to be adopted by the business.

The RBA Center of Excellence - Data, Process & Reporting team (DPR) supports the department, and the ASML sectors (business), by offering a variety of services that supports the transformation and the integrated risk management methodology. This includes training, process management, reporting, and tooling capabilities.

Role and responsibilities

The objective of the Risk Management Implementation Manager is to enable effective and efficient risk management processes within ASML. The Risk Management Implementation Manager will work within RBA, ASML’s sectors and business lines to enable the execution of the Integrated Risk Management processes and provide support to further mature risk management in the organization by looking after the People, Process and Technology aspects.

The key areas of responsibility are:

Support and improve the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of ASML Integrated Risk Management process incl. 3-lines of responsibility model, methodology and tooling

Collaborate in cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams to enable oversight on overall risk exposure

Align and build strong relationships with stakeholders, to gain buy-in for a solid integrated risk management solution

Support business with risk management processes (incl. incidents, policies, compliance/regulatory program, GRC, risk responses, control design and implementation to be “within risk appetite”)

Deliver expertise in the integrated risk management (ServiceNow) tooling and have an in-depth understanding of how the IRM processes are supported by the tooling capabilities.

Support and guidance in using the tooling, and related templates, for first business adoptions, data migration, user access & role provisioning. Monitor user onboarding progress and help to resolve the roadblocks and validate the quality of usage, mainly from a process perspective.

Align with internal risk academy for the creation of training & guidance material to support integrated risk management processes & methodology as well as the tooling that supports this process.

Education and experience

A master’s degree in business economics, risk management or technology.

10 years minimum experience in Risk Management and/or Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Governance or Risk Management;

Experience with GRC software business embedding, project management in consulting or Big4 firms is a big plus;

Experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management or similar GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) tooling is a big plus, but a strong interest and willingness to learn is also acceptable;

Knowledge of industry-related standards and regulations e.g., ISO 27000, ISO 31000, NIST, SOx etc. is considered a big plus;

Other information

The organization has recently gone through a restructure and is in the process of an ongoing maturity uplift which requires that our existing processes are reviewed and adjusted to be fit for purposes as these impact all 3 lines of responsibility within ASML. The introduction of GRC tooling in the form of ServiceNow brings new challenges in training and adoption within the organization that have to be managed. Over the upcoming years an ongoing focus on further maturing and optimizing our processes and tooling is required to be ready for the projected growth of the organization.

Position in the value chain: The rest of the Risk & Business Assurance organization looks to our team for the guidance on how to work. With rapid growth in the organization and a high volume of new joiners it is critical that our processes are clearly documented to support the onboarding of new employees and standardize the ways of working of existing staff.
