Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor - Flutter Group
The HSE Team is leading the development of Flutter global safety framework and standards. Based in Cluj, Romania, this role is for a strategically driven, but hands-on, HSE Advisor to help identify health and safety challenges specific to the business and implement innovative solutions that will remove roadblocks and allow teams to seamlessly execute.
As an advocate of health, safety and environment, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage exciting regional and global health and safety projects that help enable statutory and industry compliance. Working with teams across the region in the corporate workspace, you'll need excellent stakeholder management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate and present information to seek buy-in.
What You’ll Do
Participate in site visits of Corporate Real Estate to provide support in areas of accident management, risk assessment, fire safety and other aspects of statutory compliance.
Support the Risk and Compliance team in the strategic design, development and implementation of global policies and procedures
Implement environmental management procedures for implementation across all locations
Work with stakeholders in the organisation to promote, change, and deploy new HS&E tools and strategies
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across corporate workspace
Develop and execute efficient program tracking and reporting processes for regional and global HS&E initiatives
Improve overall HS&E performance by using a data-driven approach for issue identification, root cause analysis, and improvement rollouts
Local responsibilities
Maintain the safety and health programmes to ensure compliance with established policies and local legal regulations
Coordinate inspections and tours of the facility to detect existing or potential accident, fire and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventive actions
Maintain compliance documents
Create/update training materials and testing programmes
Collaborate with workers and/or workers’ representatives for the purpose of coordinating prevention and protection measures
Organise and monitor medical exams according to local legal requirements
Participate in incident investigations in the case of events causing temporary incapacity for work
What You’ll Need
A minimum of 3 years of industry or consulting experience in health, safety and/or environmental project, program or operational management, or related fields
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving and driving action
Ability to tell clear, compelling stories out of complex issues and analysis
Influential with great presentation skills
Experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders
Strong IT skills – must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Ability to design processes in a fast-paced environment without a prescribed template
Passion for Health, Safety, Environmental and Wellness improvement
The ability to travel within the UK & Ireland, and globally when needs arise.
