What You Will Do at ODM:

Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking experienced analytics professionals to supervise two units within ODM’s Office of Data & Integrated Systems. These positions will be cross disciplinary and provide the right candidates with the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the development of new processes that inform the health care of millions of Ohioans. The two positions available are:
Clinical Data Analytics Supervisor (PN 20101658) –
supervising a team of talented health services policy analysts and specialists
directing the preparation of data reports regarding federal and state requirements
developing provider profiles, performance measurement statistics, and disease management indicators as a part of the Advanced Data Analytics Tool/Data Warehouse
assisting in Data Governance activities within the agency and directing the development and implementation of machine learning models using clinical data
attending policy meetings to assist in the development of tools, metrics, dashboards, and models to aid policy decision making and automate standardized reporting tasks
helping to move Medicaid reporting from descriptive toward predictive statistics
working closely with other supervisors within the office
Healthcare Data Integrity Supervisor (PN 20045459) –
supervising and directing analytic staff on data integrity projects from development, implementation, and monitoring
managing the development of robust data quality checks in our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
partnering with ODM’s EDW technical team and other ODM collaboration groups to ensure that all data received, transformed, and staged for analytics is accurate and timely
overseeing encounters data quality activities and various go-live activities related to the EDW
acting as the liaison between the technical team and analytics section and provide necessary training to fill the gap
assisting higher-level management in the movement of integrity and governance processes from manual reporting to an automated one and descriptive result towards predictive modeling

Completion of undergraduate core coursework & 12 mos. exp. in one of following: health services administration, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, public administration, allied health sciences, nursing, economics, public health, or comparable field; 2 yrs. exp. in health services research &/or health policy analysis; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in use of computer programs/applications with emphasis on relational data bases, use of computer hardware, software used for spreadsheets, statistical analysis, graphics presentation & word processing; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in research methodology, measurement & testing, analysis of variance & survey sampling; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques, management or acting as leader of project team; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in multiple regression or multivariate analysis.
