Full-Time Housekeeper - Upper East Side, NYC

A warm Upper East Side-based family of 5 (2 adult children and one 11-year-old) is excited to partner with a full-time housekeeper who can assist with the upkeep of their 5-bedroom townhome. Candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and bring a friendly can-do energy to the home. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. There is 1 sweet labradoodle and 2 cats in the home. The townhome has an elevator.

Responsibilities

Daily home maintenance including (but not limited to)

Dishes

Light and deep organizing

Trash

Laundry

Ironing

Animal care (walking dog, cleaning feline litter boxes)

Unboxing packages

Cleaning/organizing fridge daily

Collecting/sorting mail

Sweeping sidewalk in front of house

Breaking down cardboard boxes

Dusting

Answering the door to receive packages/vendors as needed

Liaising with the family’s personal assistant (reordering low stock items/household maintenance issues that may arise)

Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the home on all levels

Occasionally the family will host evening events and would love to have this candidate work extra hours if candidate is amenable (this is not a requirement)

When the family travels (summer or otherwise) there will be larger-scale organizational projects/deep cleaning tasks to complete

Candidate will occasionally be asked to pick up youngest child from nearby bus stop

Qualifications

Great communicator with impeccable follow-through

Has experience in the proper handling/cleaning of antique/precious furniture, dishware, etc.

Detail-oriented

Self-motivated

Brings a friendly can-do energy to the home

Requirements

Legal to work in the US

Non-smoker

Able to occasionally lift 40+ lbs during the work day

Comfortable working in a home with 1 dog and 2 cats

Fluent in English

Salary and Benefits

$40/hour

$600/monthly health care stipend

10 vacation, 5 sick days, 3 personal days

Standard federal holidays off
