Landscaping Turf Technician

Requirements

What your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

Apply fertilizer and pre-emergent to turf, trees, and shrubs

Schedule route for applications of fertilizers based on sold work orders

Maintain inventory of turf fertilizers and chemicals

Drive, use, maintain, and properly operate landscape equipment

Bring a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site

Ensure all job-related tasks are performed safely and efficiently and use all tools and equipment in accordance with company safety policy

Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards

Maintain a polite, friendly, and responsive demeanor with colleagues, guests, and customers

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Must have a verified, currently active Virginia Pesticide Spray Applicator license

You may be a good fit if you:

At least 18 years old, can work Saturdays and in inclement weather (required)

Driver’s license is satisfactory

Enthusiastic, dependable, engaging, and can motivate others

Able to manage time and workload effectively working in a team environment

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are strong

Has considerable horticultural knowledge

Knowledgeable and able to stay up to date of MSDS and chemical uses

Safe when working with equipment and can lift over 50lbs

Experience in fertilizer and pesticide application is a minimum of one year (preferred)

Bilingual in Spanish (very valuable, but not required)

Benefits

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 (based upon experience)
