Desktop Support Staff
Summary: Desktop Support Staff play a crucial role in providing frontline support to end-users within Miami-Dade County, ensuring that their desktop computers and software function efficiently and that technical issues are promptly resolved.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
Respond to helpdesk requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Assist in the maintenance of IT inventory and documentation.
Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or certifications are a plus).
Previous experience in desktop support or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common office software.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
