Description:
The Certified Nurse Practitioner at AIDS Care Group will provide compassionate clinical care for patients living with HIV/AIDS and other medical conditions, including substance use disorders, in an outpatient setting. The incumbent is responsible for conducting complete physicals, providing treatment, counseling patients and prescribing medication.
AIDS Care Group offers a generous benefits package to full time employees (20 days PTO, 403b plan, Paid Medical insurance - 100% of the monthly premium is covered by ACG, regardless of coverage level, Paid Life Insurance, Paid Family and Medical leave). ACG has a 35-hour work week. The shift is Monday to Friday, 9AM to 4PM.
Starting annual salary is between $120,000 and $155,000 commensurate with experience.

Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
Provide comprehensive primary care, including but not limited to medical history and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory results, diagnosing medical conditions, implement treatment plans, and, when appropriate, prescribe therapeutics
Diagnose or treat complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other health care providers as necessary
Consult with or refer patients to appropriate specialists when conditions exceed the scope of practice or expertise
Counsel patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with other substances such as food supplements, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, or herbal remedies
Maintain timely, complete and detailed records of patient’s health care plans and prognoses as per ACG policy
Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks
Advocate for accessible health care that minimizes environmental health risks
Coordinate and support the medical support staff by leading by example
Read current literature, engage with colleagues, or participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in profession
Keep abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems such as Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private sources
Maintain departmental policies and procedures in areas such as safety and infection control
Participate in case conferences as part of a multidisciplinary team (Mental Health Providers, Certified Recovery Specialist, etc.),
Be open to discussing and/ or implementing plans of care from other members of the team
Speak with others using clear, professional and polite language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the ACG team to reach common goal
Provide on-call services after hours as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Active CRNP license in the State of Pennsylvania
Active DEA license
Experience working in an outpatient setting
Must be able to comfortably work with people of all lifestyles
Experience providing direct HIV prevention and treatment care
Experience providing patient care for people with substance use disorders
Experience providing care for LGBTQ+ population
Knowledge in PrEP/PEP and hormone replacement therapy
Knowledge of addictions and their association with HIV disease
Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
Must have flexibility in approaches to care based on individual patient needs
Must be able to establish trust and create connections with our patient population
Must be efficient in the delivery of culturally competent care
Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with constant collaboration within and across provider teams
