* This position is full-time and works in the field 35% of the time and in an office setting 65% of the time. The position requires frequent travel, evening work, and occasional weekend responsibilities. Requirements:

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

In partnership with the Chief Mission Delivery Officer (CMDO), develop tactics for executing the overall adult learning and support strategy that incorporates current adult learning technologies and methodologies, which include, but are not limited to in-person, on-line, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning experiences.

Design, deliver, facilitate, and evaluate innovative, engaging learning experiences and resources designed to prepare volunteers to be successful in their role(s) and develop confidence in delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Plan, schedule, execute, and evaluate a year-round adult learning calendar to meet the identified needs of adult operational volunteers.

Recruit, cultivate, develop, and manage a team of volunteer learning facilitators who assist in the delivery of both required and enriching adult learning opportunities.

Manage adult learning participation, completion, and evaluation records, as well as volunteer learning facilitator evaluations

Foster and manage relationships with vendors related to various adult learning experiences (i.e., first-aid/CPR vendors, outdoor program training vendors, etc.).

Serve as lead on adult Learning Management Systems (LMS), which includes GSCM’s gsLearn platform.

Schedule and implement a variety of adult learning events which provide development and enrichment for adults; additionally, plan and oversee any adult learning segments offered at volunteer events and conferences.

In coordination with the CMDO, establish methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of adult learning experiences; analyze results and use feedback to further elevate adult education curricula and delivery standards.

Partner with all GSCM departments to inform, assess, build, standardize, and support adult learning opportunities and needs across GSCM.

Conduct an annual adult learning and development needs assessment to inform adult learning objectives and goals for the next membership year.

Administer spending against the adult learning budget.

Stay abreast of adult education and development research, including new tools, methods, and techniques; additionally, keep current and adhere to Girl Scouts of the USA’s adult education guidelines.

Perform additional duties as assigned to assist in the fulfilment of the council’s mission and goals.

Serve as a key member of the Membership, Volunteerism, and Program (MVP) Leadership Team; assist with MVP and GSCM programs, events, and activities as business needs dictate and/or as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

Bachelors in adult education, instructional design and facilitation or related fields; and a minimum of 3+-years’ experience in planning, designing, delivering, evaluating curricula for adult learners.

Adept in using a variety of multimedia adult learning platforms and methods.

Knowledge of e-learning authoring software and Learning Management Systems (LMS), highly desirable.

Ability to plan, conduct, and analyze adult learning evaluations.

Experience working with volunteers, highly preferred.

Knowledge of the Girl Scout experience helpful, but not necessary.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including presentations.

Action orientated; seeks challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; results driven.

Strong ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and establish quick rapport with others at all organizational levels.

Skilled in using sound judgment and applying critical thinking skills when making decisions; capability to be creative in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office software; experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or database systems, as well as experience using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Go To Webinar/Meeting.

Must be able to work a varied, flexible schedule, including frequent evenings and occasional weekends, and be willing to travel throughout the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland jurisdiction.

Valid driver’s license and access to motor vehicle, necessary to carry out responsibilities.

Ability to lift 30 pounds and be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

Must subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement and become a registered member of Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA).
