Position Details

Echelon Insurance offers an excellent opportunity for people who have never worked in the insurance industry to join our growing claims team. We offer an intensive 6-week training course that will enable you to pass the 3 AMF exams to obtain the personal lines claims adjuster license.

The claims adjuster will investigate, evaluate and settle personal lines and commercial lines claims :

Respond to inquiries relating to all aspects of a personal lines and commercial lines claim.

Investigate and evaluate claims on a variety of policies to determine coverage, damages, liability and settlement.

Review and analyze policy conditions, provisions and exclusions for different types of claims.

Provide excellent customer service

Appoint claims suppliers (appraisers, adjusters, contractors, specialists, lawyers)

Process payments (or denials) in accordance with established reporting levels, policy conditions and guidelines.

Your profile

You would like to change or start a new career in the insurance industry.

Customer service oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Post-secondary education or equivalent

Bilingual (French and English) due to communication with national colleagues and bilingual clientele.
