Sr. Tech Lead -UI

Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Sr. Tech lead, responsible for leading a high performing front-end engineering team(s) to build innovative customer experiences for one of our clients. As a leader on the team, this role will work to help the team prioritize, build, and ship the most impactful features to our customers. The ideal candidate is a technical professional who has experience developing incredible customer experiences, while serving as a mentor to help guide and train other engineers on the team.

To be successful as a tech lead, you should be able to evaluate the needs, time limitations, and system limitations when developing software. A stand-out tech lead is one who is up to date on new technologies and software development practices and can translate these skills to their team’s deliverables.

Location: Denver, CO

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Translates user requirements into design for new software or extensive software revisions.

• Creates high-level architectural specifications, while ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms.

• Provides expertise on cross-application implications. Approves business requirements, estimation, functional specifications, testing strategy and other activities to ensure architectural alignment.

• Works closely with stakeholders to identify and negotiate opportunities to apply architecture standards and guidelines.

• Deep understanding and hands-on of modern coding technologies including Typescript, HTML, CSS, JS, Angular, Ionic, NGRX, Capacitor, GraphQL, build runners, pre-processors (e.g. Babel, SASS/LESS, etc.), and related development technologies.

• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies -- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools and technologies

• Understanding of best practices in responsive web and app UX design

• Knowledge of micro frontends and module-federation

• Domain Expertise: Communications, Media, Telecom / Data Networking (Preferred)

• Working experience in Agile methodologies

Key Qualifications:

• Designing or configuring software applications

• Overall 12+ years of Software development experience and minimum 6 to 10 years’ experience designing or configuring software applications.

• Deep understanding and hands-on of modern coding technologies including Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, JS, Ionic, NGRX, GraphQL, build runners, pre-processors (e.g. Babel, SASS/LESS, etc.), and related development technologies.

• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies -- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools and technologies

• Understanding of best practices in responsive web and app UX design

• Knowledge of micro frontends and module-federation

The annual salary for this position is between $72,200 – 156,300.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
