The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic and high caliber professional to join our Database Intelligence Department.

Responsibilities:

Act as HKTDC’s customer advocacy leader, championing customer analytics and strategic insight generation.

Lead and manage the customer portfolio analysis initiative. Use advanced data analytics to assist businesses in gaining a comprehensive understanding of their customers' overall relationship with HKTDC, customer journey, engagement, and loyalty when using TDC services.

In charge of the planning and execution of council-wide customer insight and analysis strategy. Drive the use of analytics, measurements, and tracking tools to evolve and improve customer portfolio and behaviour KPIs and reporting.

Design and develop advanced analytics solutions to optimize the use of the council's customer database and the generation of knowledge and insights from it.

Manage ongoing customer insight and data analysis projects. Synthesize the findings into a comprehensive understanding of customers and the market in order to provide better customer service and experiences, as well as better customer relationship management.

Proactively share customer data, learnings, and best practices to advise and influence business leaders and senior management. Help advance the development of customer-centric mindset and capabilities at HKTDC.

Closely collaborate with IT to advise and validate on the council-wide customer/CRM related technology investments and projects.

Requirements:

A master’s degree in data science, statistics or other quantitative disciplines.

8+ years’ experience in advanced customer analytics. Experience as a senior data scientist, programmer and/or software development/engineer. Advanced knowledge of data analytics, machine learning and BI tools and techniques.

Demonstrated understanding of customer marketing from the business perspective as well, including customer lifecycle and relationship management.

Proactive working attitude with analytical mindset, team spirit and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work outside prescribed responsibilities to achieve the ultimate business goal.

Good inter-personal skills. Ability to work well in a team with direct & indirect staffs from different functions, levels, skillsets and roles.

Solid verbal and written communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Able to present concepts confidently, clearly and accurately and to keep others informed and up-to-date. Listens & probes effectively.

Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits, will be offered.
