We are looking for a full-time Pediatric Medical Coding and Billing Specialist with Rethink experience to join the Compassion International ABA Therapy LLC billing team. The candidate should have a clear understanding of healthcare claims processing. Candidate is preferred to be a Certified Professional Coder who can review patient records to ensure the accuracy of coding and billing compliance of ICD-10 and CPT Codes for claim scrubbing with ease. They will manage insurance AR claims by ensuring accurate and timely follow-up to ensure accuracy. Also, a knowledge of insurance payment posting. Compassion International ABA Therapy will onboard and provide training. Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of Pediatric Primary Care Setting claims entry (processing) and AR follow up experience & knowledge of insurance and patient payment posting

Rethink Billing -experienced claim scrubbing and A/R follow-up in OP is required.

Certified Professional Coder Preferred

HIPAA compliant workspace is a requirement for answering and making phone calls to patients and insurance companies.

Bi-lingual is a plus.

Full Time Monday to Friday Eastern Standard Time 8:00 to 4:30 Hybrid POSITION (In-OFFICE 3x a week and 2 days remote)

The ABA Billing Specialist will be responsible for the submission of insurance claims to payors, posting payments, and subsequent follow-up to ensure claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. The ABA Billing Specialist will have the opportunity to engage with various departments of the Revenue Cycle team to further develop his or her knowledge and skills.

This is an office hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

Submit Electronic Claims in a timely and accurate manner

Verify correct insurance filing information

Research, resolve and resubmit any rejected claims in a timely manner

Check claim status on appropriate payor systems and contact insurances as needed

Post payments received from payors

Send Medical Records and other documentation to payors as requested

Meet daily, monthly and quarterly billing with supervisor

Qualifications:

1-3 years of ABA billing or related healthcare experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Billing Certification preferred

Experience in Behavioral and/or Mental Health billing preferred

Proficient in CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

Knowledge of HIPAA and other critical governmental regulations

Solid understanding of the healthcare industry and revenue cycle process

Organized and detail-oriented

Ability to comprehend insurance documentation and follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills

Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)
