JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW
This Senior Plant Manager is a key leadership role within the US supply chain team with responsibility for the oversight of our Landover coffee roasting and packaging facility. This role is responsible for, developing and leading strategic operational plans to deliver the wider business strategy and key business metrics.
The role is wide ranging, working closely with US One Supply cross-functional team to effectively plan, make, and deliver in alignment to business requirements. The role has functional responsibility for the leadership and direction of manufacturing, engineering, facilities, capital projects, quality, human resources and CI functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing the Vision, Master Plan, capital budget, expense budget, and other strategic planning
Oversees programs to develop and implement safety, operations, environmental, health & safety policies, and procedures. Develops and implements initiatives that foster an environment where employees take personal responsibility for safety and strengthen plant OS&H systems.
Personnel management, including coaching, career development and performance management of managers and key leaders
Build a roadmap for implementing a LEAN initiatives which cover all operational dimensions of the site safety, sustainability, quality, cost, and yield.
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems, improve product quality, and drive OEE improvements.
Effectively directs production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process problems and identify solutions that improve OEE and mitigate costs.
Supports capacity planning to optimize scheduling to enhance fill rates and OEE. Ensure scheduled production are met with a focus on customer order fill rates.
Coordinates with Supply Chain team to ensure material flow to the plant supports operational plans.
Aggressively drives process/product standardization, and waste elimination.
Able to implement continuous improvement methodologies (such as Kata, Kaizen, A3 thinking, SMED, FMEA, Standardized Work, VSM, TPM).
Improve and standardize systems to deliver results that meet or exceed business targets.
Develop & Implement organization structure/staffing to meet site priorities and goals.
Support the Business Initiatives & Strategic Issues which impact coffee supply operations.
Demonstrates a strong bias for action, data and outcomes.
Lead meetings to provide the tools/systems to make data/KPIs available and visible to support daily performance assessment.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a plant budgets to maximize profitability. Monitors financials to detect and implement ways to reduce costs.
Oversees HR/ESG establishing necessary controls, mechanisms, and policies to improve compliance in accordance with ISO 45001 standard and ESG initiatives.
Manages relationship with the union members and leadership (internal and external to Landver site).
Ensures all operating permits and licenses for the plant are current and ensure timely renewal.
Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include leading and coordinating the work of others, facilitating, coaching, training; planning and assigning work; managing and appraising job performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Create an environment of data-driven culture, timely and effective communications, sense of urgency and high motivation and to achieve plant goals in the immediate and longer term
Support and drive “on-the-floor” engagement of key site personnel in efforts associated with EOC’s Lean transformation

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
Minimum 10 years of hands-on manufacturing experience with demonstrated LEAN implementation
Demonstrated leadership skills, experience effectively leading and managing employees and team
Capable in analyzing complex data/situations, priority setting and problem solving
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent formal certification preferred
Familiarity with OSHA/ISO standards and ESG landscape
Knowledge / Experience
Expanding leadership roles in fast paced food and beverage industries
Solid business and technical acumen; versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
Thorough understanding of product and process development
Capable of identifying, initiating, and implementing process improvement and capital projects
Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, organizational, and financial planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, results-oriented, and strategic thinker
