Job Description

Job Summary

Individual contributor, assists with design production of building infrastructure projects

Support the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems

Select equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and prepare equipment schedules

Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters

Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer

Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems

Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards

Keep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional servicesQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar

0-2 years of internship experience

Preferred experience in AutoCAD & Revit

Preferred understanding of applicable design and building codes
