C2C Platform Manager (Conga)

EQ has embarked on a Client to Cash (C2C) transformation covering all capabilities for an end-to-end journey from marketing, new business development, opportunity and contract lifecycle management, order to cash, and relationship management through to renewals management. As a result of acquisitions and growth, we currently have multiple ways of working, processes and systems which we are consolidating into a single global approach and platform based on Salesforce CRM, Conga Quote to Cash and Marketo.
A programme team is being established to drive through this transformation, and the role of Platform Manager (Conga) will play a key part in this.
Role Summary
Reports to the QTC Product Manager and works with other colleagues across the wider programme team. Provides leadership, direction, guidance, definition and understanding of the Conga environment across EQ.
Owns Conga global platforms, and responsible for build, delivery and enhancement of reliable, value adding platforms to the business.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Owning the technical / platform - build, configuration, release, maintenance, quality, usability, functionality, data, compliance
Oversee application configuration and deployment for production and pre-release environments
Ensuring the platform is reliable and performant
Managing licencing and administration
Provide technical expertise on platform technologies to project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of designs and solutions
Work with programme delivery resources to ensure validation of business and functional requirements as part of product and platform development responsibilities
Define and document standard run books and operating procedures. Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams
Serve as a primary Conga subject matter expert for assigned packages, releases and functional workstreams to support technology design and development
Influencing the product roadmap and owning the platform components of that roadmap
Identify platform exploitation and innovation opportunities across the business, and working closely with SMEs to ensure solution feasibility and viability:
Socialise new or unused Conga platform features with the Product team and identify exploitation opportunities
Actively promote new platform features and drive adoption
Run assessments / POCs for new initiatives
Generate innovation ideas and create case for new features
Help refine business requirements, set priorities, manage expectations, resolve issues, and work with the other members of the CoE and Programme team to successfully deliver platform capabilities
Support other colleagues in the CoE and where necessary covering their responsibilities.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
Extensive hands-on experience of Conga products essential, ideally broadly across the suite of core Conga products (CPQ, CLM, Billing/Order to Cash, X-Author)
Experience in maximising business value from QTC investments
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
Understanding of application best practice throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application lifecycle
Expertise in agile software development techniques and methodologies
Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment methods delivered as part of an agile team
Experience with the management of data within a Salesforce environment
Experience of working with third party suppliers and system integrators
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge supportively and effectively where appropriate
Experience in management of Platform Engineers
Conga accredited certification preferred.
