Software Engineering Internship: Embed MATLAB Models in Machine

Introduction

Are you a Bachelor or a Master student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field looking for an apprentice or graduation internship? Do you have a strong understanding of the MATLAB programming language and C++? Then this internship might be interesting for you!

Background information

ASML is the market leader in developing photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. One of the sub-function inside this complex system is called "Wafer Positioning and Immersion group". This group delivers integrated embedded software solutions to ensure lithography systems work in design specifications.

Your assignment

Get familiar with ASML software product development environment, investigate techniques to connect MATLAB models of functional design with scanner software, evaluate the performance impact, minimize the impact and possibly apply the MATLAB models in scanner production software.

Your Profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you:

Are a Bachelor or Master student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related study.

Have a good understanding of C/C++, Object-Orientation and Linux. (Experience with complex software system developing with mixed programming languages is a nice to have)

Have good knowledge of MATLAB and MATLAB C++ code generation.

Are open to new ideas and are practical.

Have great communication skills and are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

This is a (HBO) Bachelor or Master internship with a duration of 6 months, for 3-5 days a week, starting in September 2024.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
