Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machine Operator in Long Beach, CA
As a CNC Machine Operator you will:
Be expected to read and understand CNC programs.
Must know SIEMENS controls
Must be able touch off tools and submit a first article that conforms to blueprint dimensions.
Will be expected to maintain production and quality goals.
Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, cutting, turning, facing and milling.
Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Daily inspection of machines to guarantee functionality.
Ensure that results of machining process align with company expectations.
Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
This is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire opportunity
Candidate must meet these qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of lathe set-up/operator experience.
Must know SIEMENS controls
Mill experience is okay as well
Able to Tool, Setup and Operate CNC Machines
Firm understanding of CNC programs including formatting and editing
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant machine operations.
Be familiar with different controls, machines, inspection gages, Grinders, Saws, Debarring Equipment, and Various Measuring Tools.
Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation.
A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
Organizational and time management skills.
Show initiative with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.
Confidence to approach supervisor with suggestions to changes to processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
