Fulltime School Psychologist Fredericksburg Virginia
Position Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Levels: K-12
Responsibilities:
Conduct prehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning
Interpret assessment results and provide remendations to support educational planning and decision-making
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and supports to address students' individual needs
Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide counseling and support services to students, either individually or in groups, to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding behavior management strategies, classroom acmodations, and other mental health issues
Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supports
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, evaluations, and services provided
Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid Virginia license to practice as a School Psychologist
Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
Knowledge of best practices in assessment, intervention, and consultation in school psychology
Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
