The Process Technician is responsible for monitoring and ensuring process are being complied. He/She identifies when there is deviation from the norm and takes simple action to correct. Escalates to senior members when they are not able to correct the problem. The Process technician works in a variety of settings covering business units assigned (Handset, Display, Enclosure and Fabrication).
Ensures and monitors that the standard practices and procedures are being complied.
Performs regular process set-up for mass-pro readiness. Set up includes but is not limited to qualification, chemical analysis, bath leaching, solution make up, chamber purging, temperature stabilization etc. Follows such as those defined in the PM specification, calibration specification, WI, JA, FMEA, OCAP and etc.
Performs regular test and quality inspections of product output. Monitors input and output parameters and conducts supervised adjustments on input parameters that are within the defined specification.
Provides basic to advanced support to isolate and conduct verification during process, yield and product quality excursion. Solves simple to moderate problems within area of responsibility, analyzes root causes and proposes corrective actions. Executes defined OCAP for process out of control.
Maintains documentation of process and procedures for future reference including report generation on engineering activities.
Assists on job trainings, for new machines/upgrades, to workers when needed.
Provides OQE updates on general status of process, qualification run activities, process changes, etc.
Coordinates with internal customers (equipment, OQE) and suppliers (warehouse) for critical requirements. Relays impact of mechanical changes to process to equipment team
Supports in the machine qualification (new/relocation), new SW deployment, new product introduction requiring jigs/tool qualification.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
