About the Role: Position: Maths Tutor Location: Canada(100% Remote) Job Description: The math education specialist will work with our team of product managers, designers, and engineers to enhance our math intelligence system with more context and content.

They will be responsible for identifying, contextualizing, and classifying common student errors and misconceptions and helping us systematically define prerequisite skills and concepts for each stage of a student’s math journey.

Role and Responsibilities: Tasks to be done as a part of this role include: Reviewing, revising, and organizing a set of “mistake categories” within our math intelligence system to ensure accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical soundness.

Defining connections between new math topics, common mistake categories, and prerequisite skills and concepts within the math intelligence system at multiple stages through a K-12 math learning journey Identifying priority areas for further development based on our existing sequence of math problem types Qualifications and Skills: A commitment to teaching methods that combine the benefits of both procedural and conceptual math learning.

A bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field.

At least two years of experience in teaching or tutoring math at various levels and contexts.

Strong knowledge of math content, pedagogy, and curriculum standards.

Familiarity with common student errors and misconceptions throughout many stages of math learning.

Familiarity with strategies to help students overcome math difficulties and build confidence and competence.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Passion for math education and continuous learning.

Salary Range: CAD $41000 - CAD $49000/Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
