Interior Engineer

Position Overview: As an Interior Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of interior spaces within various projects. Your role will involve collaborating with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that interior designs meet both esthetic and functional requirements. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Collaborate with architects and clients to develop interior design concepts that align with project goals and objectives.

Conduct space planning activities to optimize the layout and functionality of interior spaces, ensuring efficient utilization of available space.

Research, select, and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings for interior design projects, considering factors such as durability, esthetics, and budget.

Prepare detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and installation of interior materials and furnishings.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that interior designs are implemented according to specifications and quality standards.

Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback throughout the design and construction process.

Assist in developing project budgets and monitor expenses related to interior design activities, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in interior design, construction, or a relevant field.

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SketchUp. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to interior design.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clients effectively, team members, and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to resolve design challenges.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation and specifications.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently when required.
