Conceptualization and Design:

Generate and develop creative and original design concepts for clothing and accessories.

Produce detailed sketches, mood boards, and design presentations that reflect the brand's aesthetic.

Trend Analysis:

Stay informed about current fashion trends, materials, and techniques.

Research and analyze market trends and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.

Material and Colour Selection:

Choose appropriate fabrics, materials, and colour palettes for each design.

Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source quality materials.

Pattern Development:

Create accurate patterns for garments, ensuring proper fit and functionality.

Collaborate with patternmakers to translate design concepts into workable patterns.

Technical Design:

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed design specifications.

Provide technical input to ensure designs are feasible for production.

Prototype Oversight:

Oversee the development of prototypes and samples, making necessary adjustments for design accuracy.

Collaborate with sample makers to ensure high-quality prototypes.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including patternmakers, sample makers, and marketing.

Effectively communicate design concepts and collaborate with other departments to meet project goals.

Adaptability:

Adjust designs based on feedback, changing trends, and production constraints.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality control checks on final products to ensure they meet design specifications.

Address any issues or discrepancies during the production process.
