Senior Import Manager with 7 to 10 years of experience in importing goods, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and is a full-time position at PHYTO LIFE SCIENCES PRIVATE LIMITED.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Proven experience as an Import Manager, preferably in the herbal manufacturing industry.

Having experience in importing herbal extract.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.

Proficient in import documentation and customs clearance processes.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in MS Office suite and import-related software.

Knowledge of import-related software and ERP systems is a plus.

Roles And Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end import process including sourcing, negotiation, documentation, and logistics.

Ensure compliance with all import laws, regulations, and customs requirements.

Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Coordinate with internal teams to streamline import processes and resolve any issues or delays.

Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and mitigate any potential risks or disruptions.

Manage import documentation including purchase orders, shipping invoices, and customs clearance documents.

Monitor and analyze import costs to optimize expenses and maximize efficiency.

Stay updated with changes in import regulations and trade agreements to adjust import strategies accordingly.

Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, manufacturing, and finance.

Provide regular reports and updates on import activities to management.
