Job Overview

Senior Accountant position available at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY in Ambattur, Chennai. This is a full-time role with a requirement of 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial statements, auditing, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and hold a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification. Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

7-10 years of relevant experience in accounting.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.

Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification required.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Roles And Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with GAAP.

Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations.

Conduct audits to verify financial information and identify any discrepancies.

Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and budget VS actual analysis.

Collaborate with management to develop financial forecasts and budgets.

Monitor and document financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Review and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.

Maintain knowledge of current accounting regulations and changes in GAAP.

Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
