A Day in the Life

As a R&D Engineer II of MEIC, you will collaborate with the sustenance and Product Development teams globally. You will be involved on Concept development, Drawings, Prototype Building, document release and manufacturing transfer activities for medical devices/products.

As a result, we need a R-D Engineer II who will ensure best quality and in time delivery of the given assignments for our products with following expertise:

Good knowledge on product design and development processes including cross-functional aspects (Technical discussions & Reviews).

Should be able to prepare 2D drawings per ASME Standards with sound knowledge on GD&T

Should create 3D CAD Models from scratch and able to edit complex models, create production drawings and assemblies. CAD customization knowledge would be an added advantage.

Should be able to apply engineering principles and calculations for component design (Sheet Metal and Plastics molded components) to support product design and development team.

Knowledge of medical devices, compliance, Standards and design controls.

Experience in biomedical materials, materials selection methods and techniques is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and team management skills.

Knowledge on DFMEA,PPAP, FAI, test protocols, Engineering design documentation and Engineering change management.

Must-Have:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 6 years of relavent experience.

Hands on CAD systems such as Creo & Solidworks– expert level (Drafting & Modelling) as well as data management systems such as Windchill

Very good verbal communication and presentation skills to interact with global partners .

Knowledge in Concept Development, Prototyping, Benchmark and Testing

Well verse with GD&T and good knowledge in tolerance stacks.

Manufacturing Processes Knowledge (Stamping, Press brake, Plastics molding)

Knowledge on different agile PLM (MAP CAP Enovia).

Nice to Have:

Medical Device Experience

Master Degree

GD&T Certification, Cetol

Six Sigma certification

ANSYS or any equivalent Prediction Software
