Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our team at Hotel Bliss Tirupati, a leading 3-star hotel in Temple Town, Tirupati. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional Indian dishes, ensuring high-quality standards, and delivering a memorable dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, with a required mid-level experience of 4 to 6 years.
Qualifications And Skills
Proven experience as an Indian Chef with a focus on traditional Indian cuisine
Proficient knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to create and execute innovative Indian dishes while maintaining authenticity
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Mid-level experience of 4 to 6 years in a similar role
Roles And Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards
Manage food preparation and presentation in line with hotel and industry standards
Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by inspecting and selecting the best produce
Monitor and control portion sizes, minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness and sanitization standards are met
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dishes and creative menu ideas
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring seamless operations in the kitchen
Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed
Stay up to date with industry trends and new cooking techniques
