Role & Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to manage drying and sorting

efficiently and safely and to enable the factory to meet targets

Assist the Production Manager in planning, deciding and adhering to the monthly and daily

schedule for drying

Oversee the veneer sizing and grading processes as per the set quality standards

Ensure the Dryer operates at the appropriate temperature for achieving the desired moisture

content in the veneer, as per the requirements

Ensure the sorting of veneer as per quality and grade and oversee the storage of the same

prior to sending it to the next stage in the production process/sale

Ensure the veneer graded for sale is dispatched as per the dispatch schedule

Coordinate with the Dispatch In-charge for arranging logistics and completing paper work for

enabling the disptach

Check the Veneer inventory, post drying and share the information on a daily basis

Ensure compliance to all safety, health and environment measures in the process

Ensure adherence to systems and processes and to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Ensure timely information pertaining to stocks, defects etc. is provided for creation of MIS reports

Preferred Candidate Profile

Minimum 8-10 years with knowledge of plywood manufacture; best practices in operating the peeling and drying machines; inventory management and labour relations is must. Degree from IPRITI / FRI preferred.
