Looking for a candidate who has a liner (MLO)background.

Entire Export trade market intelligence to all Sectors which includes Asia,

US West Coast & East Coast, Europe & Med, Red Sea / Middle East Gulf.

Knowledge of Africa (South, East & West), Latin & South America is a Must

Requirement

Major Competitors svc pattern, advantages/disadvantages.

Knowledge of various Export commodities moving trends, seasonality,

equipment type/size and its Govt regulations/restrictions if any / Bi-Lateral

trade agreement etc.

Roles & Responsibility

Achieving wkly teus targets ( All Trade ) for Self and individual Sales Team

Daily BP vs Bkgs trend to be monitored and if any unforeseen/unexpected

situation arises need to be updated to HOD/ Mgmnt well in advance.

Monitor the Activities of the Sales Team (Target fulfilments, Customer Visits,

Sales Pipeline Update)

Ensure BP/Forecast is updated for All Routes for optimum utilization

Identifying prospective Customers, Business Opportunities, Assessing

Customer needs in terms of promoting our Liner Services

Developing a new customer base along with retention of existing clientele.

Providing rates to assigned clients as per their requirements for Different

Sectors and Different Ports within the service profile.

follow up with the Clients for Bookings on proposals and quotes offered &

convert inquiries to firm bookings.

Generating Daily, Weekly, and Monthly sales reports with Proper MI and

submitting the same to HODs & Management

Ensure the Overdue invoices are kept at the minimum

Management of Key Accounts by initiating joint Sales calls with HOD / Mgmnt

to strengthen Customer confidence and cargo support.

Initiate Sales leads to the destination office to secure Carrier nomination from

Cnee.

Lost Customer Analysis and action plan to regain support

Analysis of monthly statistics to evaluate HMM ranking to various trade lanes to

take correct steps

Candidate should be must carrier background with reasonable experience

Should be well versed with Chennai and nearby districts and states about

market intelligence
