Job Overview

A Soldering Technician would be responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) to create embedded systems. The Soldering Technician will work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure the quality and reliability of embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities

Soldering and Assembly:

Perform soldering of electronic components onto PCBs following industry standards and specific project requirements.

Assemble and solder surface-mount and through-hole components using various soldering techniques.

Ensure proper alignment, placement, and orientation of components on PCBs.

Quality Control:

Conduct thorough visual inspections of completed soldering work to identify and rectify any defects or issues.

Verify the accuracy of component placements and solder joints according to engineering specifications.

Implement quality control processes to meet product standards and reliability requirements.

Equipment Operation:

Operate soldering equipment, including soldering irons, re-flow ovens, and other related tools, in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.

Communicate effectively to address any issues or challenges related to the soldering process.

Qualifications

ITI Course or High school diploma in Electrical or Electronics field; additional technical education or certifications in electronics or soldering is a plus.

Proven experience as a soldering technician, preferably in embedded systems or electronics manufacturing.

Familiarity with industry standards for soldering and assembly processes.

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Good communication and collaboration skills.
