ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Revenue is responsible for the interpretation of business analytics into tactical strategy - provides focused expertise that will guide and direct the hotel’s Revenue Strategy Team through effective and measurable revenue management initiatives. The priority will be room revenue, food & beverage (catering), with a focus on total revenue management, including but not limited to spa, food & beverage (outlets), and other ancillary revenue opportunities.

The Director of Revenue is also responsible for the overall management of the Reservations Department and reports to the Director of Marketing.

Position is Resort based with minimal travels.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

INTERPRET BUSINESS ANALYTICS INTO MEANINGFUL ACTION TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE.

LEVERAGE IDEAS G3 REVENUE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

MANAGE RATES AND INVENTORY IN ALL DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS.

INITIATE PRICING ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

OWNERSHIP OF OTA MARKET MANAGER RELATIONSHIP

OWNERSHIP OF LOCAL MERCHANDISING STRATEGIES IN DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS

LEAD WEEKLY REVENUE MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY MEETINGS

WHAT YOU BRING

University degree. Completed a minimum four (4) year university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Hotel Management or equivalent experience in Revenue Management capacity.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

Strong IT (Information Technology) foundation is required. Proficient in Excel, Opera, Salesfource, Microsoft Office, Windows. Knowledge of PowerBI, IDeaS G3 RMS and Hotelligence is an asset.

Excellent analytical skills and ability to demonstrate key insights translated to fact-based decision-making.

A self-starter that can multi-task and prioritize.

Must be flexible and dependable to work beyond a standard work day when required.

Proven relationships with Agencies, Vendors, OTA Market Managers that have delivered demonstrable results, and the personality to maximize these contracts.
