Overview About our team: The Williams Sonoma, Inc.

Business to Business team is responsible for delivering significant sales growth in the B2B channel.

Our team works to identify and prospect daily, bringing new clients to WSI and being Brand Ambassadors across all nine of the WSI brands: Williams Sonoma, Williams Sonoma Home, West Elm, Mark & Graham, Rejuvenation, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Teen, Pottery Barn Kids, & Green Row.

About the role: As an Associate Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving meaningful overall B2B sales growth across all market segments including hospitality, residential, and the commercial office segment - focusing specifically on office furniture dealers and their in-house dealer design teams to sell our complete WSI solutions.

Reporting to the VP of the West Elm Work business, you will leverage your professional contacts in the key market segments, focusing on building strong relationships with office furniture dealer designers, and dealer & Steelcase sales teams while selling the full capabilities of our WSI family of brands.

Additionally, you may partner with the existing B2B territory sales teams to unlock additional business in our key market segments.

This role will cover key markets across the US and Canada.

This is a remote role but will be based out of New York.

Responsibilities General * Drive incremental sales by focusing on office furniture dealers, selling the WSI family of brands including the West Elm Work Collection * Effectively deliver strong sales pitch/message to illustrate WSI B2B solutions/capabilities, including the West Elm Work offering and our overall value proposition of 9 brands, 1 solution * Work collaboratively with the WSI B2B sales team on large opportunities to sell our entire product offering, including regular connections with the sales leaders and wider team * Provide support in the sales process for WSI B2B team, Steelcase sales and dealer sales teams (configurations, quotes, textiles, order support, etc.) * Event planning skills to support key dealer focused events * Workplace planning skills or ability to leverage Steelcase and/or WSI design teams Office Furniture Dealer Focus * Build and maintain very strong relationships with dealer designers and dealer sales teams in to win mindshare and drive incremental business for WSI and the West Elm Work Collection * Provide detailed brand and product training across our entire portfolio of solutions to dealer designers and dealer sales teams * Understand & proactively support what is important to dealers including specification process, sales, product design, operations & overall customer experience * Be close to key dealer sales opportunities as they arise in order to gain mindshare and drive WSI B2B business * Support both Steelcase dealers and new & existing portfolio (non-Steelcase) dealers * Coach and support dealer designers & dealer sales on new product launches, technical product information, sales tools, product & fabric/finish samples, etc.

Criteria * Two to three years Contract Furniture/Hospitality industry experience * One to two years relevant/B2B sales experience preferred * Familiarity with the Contract Office Furniture market, dealer network & design specification process * Design specification background strongly preferred, specifically within the contract furniture world/dealer environment * A proven track record and strong ability to build relationships with both internal partners and external audiences * Ability to travel 60-65%: a typical week would include 3+ days on the road and 1-2 days back in your home office * A passion for furniture and interior design * The ability to effectively manage concurrent and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment * Excellent proactive, solution-oriented, problem-solving skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers/clients/business partners and build strong relationships * Strong presentation skills * Salesforce experience preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel Our Mission Around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion We firmly believe that working in a culture focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion spurs innovation, creates healthy and high-performing teams, and delivers superior customer experiences.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $60,000-$80,000.

Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
