Engineering Designer - Seat integration

Support the design, development, and release of all seating system related components

Support will include standardization plan development, interface with product design office, vehicle development, other Interior engineering teams, and suppliers to design, develop and release

Responsible for internal design practice / regulation conformity on all applicable components / system

Responsible for quality design proposal(s) within stipulated timeline to all related components

Support for technical documentation to include DFMEAs DVPR s

Support actively within a cross-functional teams, and plant teams on the greater benefit of the vehicle

Maintain EBOMs and manage data releases in accordance with program milestones

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical excellence

Support for quality improvements, cost reduction, and validation

Benchmarking, DFM, and DFA studies as and when required

Design Support for the virtual analysis teams to meet various Regulatory and test requirements

Qualifications

B.E./B. Tech or M.E/ M. Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production and Industrial Engineering Skills

Essential:

3 to 6 years of product design development experience in automotive seating system components (Structures, foams, plastics Jit components)

Working experience in component system level designing

Proficiency in NX / CATIA along with Team center / Enovia PLM system

Good Knowledge in Manufacturing Assembly feasibility study

Experience in component level and full vehicle DVPR and DFMEA

Knowledge on foam, plastic molding, and sheet metal processes

Knowledge on seating system regulatory and certification requirements

Good in CAD modelling, technical report writing, timeline creation management, and communication presentation skills

Work experience with International Tier 1 and OEMS

Desired Skills

Desirable:

Familiarity with GDT and dimensional engineering

Knowledge of strength, durability, regulatory and safety requirements for seating system

Automation / customization in NX / CATIA activities

Essential: English

Expertise in UG NX / CATIA V5/V6 and Enovia / Team center

Knowledge in MS-Office Experience
