You will be working as Procurement Specialist at global grade 14 and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore North, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement & Logistics Manager and will be responsible for implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.

Your responsibilities

Ensuring all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Ensuring alignment between local SCM activities and the SCM centers

Being in accordance with Group SCM guidelines and local Business Unit objectives, implements programs to drive improvement in cost, quality and delivery. Securing full utilization of Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high performing suppliers to ABB

Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Ensuring buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines

Monitoring the Supply Chain management processes and activities. Pro-actively works to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery. Monitoring and reporting internal and supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development actions. Supporting conformance to ABB Supply Chain Management metrics

Leveraging CIPS category teams locally, regionally and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection. Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major local suppliers

Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines

Your background

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

3-5yrs of experience in Supply Chain Management

Should be able to work with a global team, cross-cultural collaboration, with different time zones, and understanding varying work styles and cultural norms

Effective communication, flexibility, and empathy are key to fostering a positive and productive environment within a global team

Knowledge on Metals Process, Stamping, Injection Molding, Assembly along with Cost breakdown model

Should have knowledge on VA / VE

Knowledge on Metal, Plastic commodity Process Manufacturing and other manufacturing process
