Regional Stores Manager - Power Transmission and Distribution

Place of Posting: Anywhere in India

Reporting to: Cluster Store Manager

Regional Stores Manager in the Power Transmission andDistribution is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store mobilization, inventory planning, store control measures, inventory control methods and techniques, dispatch & disposal management, digital initiative, and closures of stores.

Their duties include:

Leading a team of storekeepers to ensure efficient and effective operation of all project stores.

Developing and implementing inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.

Working closely with procurement and logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of materials to construction sites and other project locations.

Conducting regular periodical audits and inspections of regional stores to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

To design the layout of the project stores and align with project requirements.

Monitoring and analyzing inventory turnover rates to forecast future demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

Collaborating with project managers and other key stakeholders to coordinate the timely delivery of materials for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Developing and implementing training programs for storekeepers to ensure adherence to best practices and industry regulations.

Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments to inform purchasing decisions and support the growth of the business.

Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of regional project stores and opportunities for improvement.

Standardization of the project store infrastructures as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). To support and provide the relevant data and details to external / internal audit requirements.

Timely mobilization and de-mobilization of the project stores.

Accountable for:

Store Manpower Mobilization.

Stock Control Measures.

Dispatch & Disposal Management - Surplus Materials and Scrap Disposal.

Optimum utilization of materials across all project stores.

Minimum of 20 to 25 project stores.

Requirements:

In general, a minimum of 10 years and up to 15 years of experience is required, along with proven management of at least 10 project stores.

The ideal candidate should have an engineering background and expertise in materials management, specifically in the EPC and Utility sectors.

A strong technical understanding of Transmission Lines, Utility Power Distribution, and

Substation materials are essential.
