Role description:

We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Instrumentation & Control) to work on our water & wastewater projects the US region from our Design Centers in India.

Role accountabilities:

As Project Lead, managing projects (or components of projects) for Water Instrumentation & Controls team.

Prepares the technical documentation for instrumentation and systems requisitions and performs the technical evaluations.

Review & Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping &Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Review & Preparation of Instrument Index, IO List, Cable Schedule, Junction Box Schedule, Cable Block Diagram review and cable sizing.

Review & Preparation and review of Instrument Datasheet.

Review & Preparation of Instrument Inter-connection schedule, Loop Wiring Diagram, Instrument Installation drawings (Hookups) and Instrument Material Take Off (MTO).

Vendor document and Specification preparation.

Ability to lead a team on various projects in line with client requirement.

Provide design input to CAD/BIM and co-ordinate with BIM/CAD staff for preparation of drawings.

Design and Management Knowledge with using of BIM360, Revit, Plant 3D, Instrucal design software.

Managing the production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports, asset management relating to projects.

Preparation of Control schematics and Block logic diagrams for PLC.

Preparation and review of Network Architecture drawings, well versed with various DCS/ PLC/ SCADA manufacturer models like ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell

Taking responsibility for Quality Assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/ modifications.

Proactively engaging with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams regarding safe design requirements, and flag risks at appropriate levels. Resolving issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions, evidenced through great feedback.

Developing technical methodologies which add value to the scope from other Arcadis Regions and guiding junior colleagues in delivering quality documents/drawings.

Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.

Reviewing work and drive the culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks (IDC's).

Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.

Providing technical advice to project team members.

Handle multiple management responsibilities, overseeing the work and / or development of multiple colleagues working on complex projects in a single discipline.

Design Health & Safety management for the project works.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.E / B. Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University. Post-Graduation will be an added advantage.

8 – 12 years relevant experience in design of Instrumentation and Control systems associated with the Water & Wastewater industry.

Registered or accredited professional with Professional Institutions will be a plus.

Required Competencies:

Familiar with American standards, BS codes, ISA, IEC, NEMA, UL standards.

Sound technical knowledge, academically good.

Strong command of AutoCAD/ BIM / digital / data analytics software as applicable.

Proven design experience: including concept, preliminary, detailed, construction phases.

Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal

Work experience in North America will be an added advantage.

Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills.

Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery.
