Introduction

DB RRTS Operations India is a part of the DB group, a world-leading global railway company with an extensive organization in Germany and projects around the world. Our company offers a technically sophisticated and customized infrastructure, mobility and transport solutions. We acquire, initiate and manage rail operations and maintenance projects outside Europe. We are looking for transport and mobility enthusiasts and entrepreneurs with long-standing experience in railway operations and projects in India or worldwide.

We are currently seeking you to build up and manage the operation and maintenance of a Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) business in Delhi, India. This 82km long Delhi-Meerut line will consist of 16 RRTS and 6 MRTS stations. This will include developing a local O&M company from scratch to full operations, developing and leading a passionate and performance driven team, steering quality, performance and customer satisfaction as well as ensuring economic success in India.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to CMO

Providing strategic direction, planning, and managing the availability of track systems with safety and providing adequate protection for Employees, facilities and equipment.

DGM/Track shall carry out the inspection of track parameters as much as possible along with inspection carried out by AM and JE -Track as per the schedule of Inspections as given in Track Manual. He shall record his observations along with the action required for rectification of defects if found any.

He shall be conversant with the rules and procedures related to the Track maintenance and operations and shall keep him aware of all the orders and circulars issued from Time to Time relating to his duties.

He should cooperate effectively with officers and staff of other departments in matters that warrant coordination.

He should ensure that all work is carried out according to plans and specifications laid down and completed within the time specified.

He shall witness the measurement of ballast carried out by the AM or JE for ballasted track and shall have 100% check on measurement and ensure prescribed quality requirements and its quantity.

In case of an Emergency or affecting train running, he shall proceed to take charge of work at site and arrange for relief equipment/ material as necessary. He shall take all the possible measures to restore the track quickly. He shall maintain effective coordination with signaling, Traction and Rolling Stock staff while carrying out work involving restoration of traffic.

He shall carry out inspection of P. way store at least twice in a year. While checking stores, he should pay attention to spare, and materials required for Emergency. The necessary action to replenish te spares and material shall be taken by him whether the spare and material is utilized for track maintenance work.

Strict discipline is maintained in the staff within the framework of the rules

All the staff working under him receive proper training in maintenance practices, safety and protection rules at the appropriate stage.

Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance of track.

Manage and control the outsourcing activities.

Validate and manage shift work schedule of maintenance team.

Manage and validate the track repair work, supervision after services of suppliers/subcontractors.

Inspection of track systems and set up the operation regulations.

Review and manage status of supply and demand of track equipment or spare parts.

Validate the updated information and data through the facility management.

Identify training needs and accordingly plan and conduct the same for employees.

Validate and review daily, weekly and monthly reports of track maintenance activities.

Ensure that staff under his supervision are aware of their responsibilities, latest procedure, manuals and policy.

Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to issues relating to the track maintenance procedure.

Coordinate with external agencies regarding Track maintenance issues.

Plan and manage standby staff arrangement to cater in case of Emergency.

Review, analyze and follow up on the results of various flaw details and working out solutions and implement them.

Ensures the readiness and staffing on 24h/365d basis of Track maintenance vehicles and the RRV.

Qualifications

9-12 Years of experience into track

Anticipation, analysis, identification and problem-solving capacity.

Ability to communicate with staff of all levels
