ELV Engineer

Job Location: Hyderabad

Minimum 1 year experience in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of ELV systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, PA Systems), preferably in a construction or engineering environment.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation

Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems and components, including structured cabling, CCTV cameras, access control panels, fire alarm systems, etc.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Low Voltage Professional, Certified Technology Specialist) may be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

System Design: Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to design ELV systems that meet project requirements and specifications. This involves assessing needs, conducting site surveys, and creating detailed plans and schematics.

Installation and Implementation: Oversee the installation and implementation of ELV systems according to approved designs and industry standards. Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate installation.

Testing and Commissioning: Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning of ELV systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to performance standards. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and ensure they are promptly addressed.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including design drawings, installation records, test reports, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all documentation is organized and easily accessible for future reference.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability and durability of ELV systems. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify any deviations from standards and take corrective actions as necessary.

Client Training and Support: Provide training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of ELV systems. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to address any issues or concerns that may arise post-installation.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of advancements in ELV technologies, regulations, and best practices. Continuously evaluate new products and solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Implement measures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
