Qualification - B.Tech / BE / M.Tech :- Mechanical, Electrical

Salary - Upto 10 Lac CTC

Experience:- 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering of RCC and

steel structures for transmission lines and substations.

Location- Anand (Gujarat)

Job Description

The principal responsibilities essentially include:

Prepare and co-ordinate detailed designs of superstructure as well as substructure for

RCC and Steel structures for transmission lines and substations, Industrial buildings,

canopies, etc.

Understand and Interpret Geotechnical Investigation Report for design of foundation

system.

Design of foundations especially different types of pile foundations (bored cast in-situ,

rammed, helical), raft foundations, block foundations, combined footings; as per soil

conditions.

To support transmission lines and substation structural design and drawings by taking

engineering input from technical specifications, client and other engineering disciplines.

Able to perform independently along with the draftsmen incorporating the GA,

Construction drawings, design reports and BOQs. If required shall demonstrate the

design at client office locations or end clients.

Should be able to guide the drafting team time to time and ensure the deliverable

targets for the projects and shall also be open for the site visits in India and abroad

during construction of structures for checking.

Co-ordinate and develop design criteria and construction specifications.

Prepare and monitor schedules for deliverables.

Attend project co-ordination meetings and liaise with Government Authorities, site

team, clients and EPC contractors.

Check the designs and drawings.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff.

Candidate Specification

Candidate shall be preferably from Consultancy / EPC background with exposure on

transmission lines and substation structures. Knowledge of utility scale solar PV

projects will be added advantage.

Prepare and co-ordinate detailed designs for transmission line towers and substation

structures as per Indian, IEC, American standards and utility requirements.

Candidate shall have thorough and deep understanding of design requirements and

load calculations like wind, thermal, creep, short-circuit loads, etc. anticipated on

transmission line towers and substation structures.

Candidate shall be well versed with different load combinations as per IS802, ASCE10,

ASCE74 and other relevant standards.

Detailed designs for Industrial buildings, steel structures including but not limited to

solar PV module mounting structures using cold formed steel members.

Excellent communication skills with ability to produce high-quality design reports and

drawings.

Able to understand the design requirements and gather site specific information.

Able to support in preparation of bill of quantities and tenders.

An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar, substation and

transmission line tower projects.

Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team.

Prepare design spreadsheets for loading calculations and manual design check.

Competent user of STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD and Microsoft packages. Knowledge of the

PLS-CADD and PLS-Tower will be added advantage.

Willingness to travel and stay as per requirement in India and abroad.

Needs to comply with the organizations HSE commitment and Integrated Management

System (IMS) requirements.

Selection process

Telephonic discussion: Preliminary round of discussion over a call by the company

HR.

In person meeting: Technical round of discussion with the domain specialist in Pune

office, skype may be preferred for outstation candidates.

HR meeting: Upon shortlisting in technical round, discussion on remuneration at Pune

office.

Director meeting: At Pune office before conclusion.
