Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our Real Estate team at DCS Group. As a Quantity Surveyor Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost estimation and control process for construction projects. This includes analyzing project plans, conducting site visits, preparing cost estimates, monitoring project costs, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying within the real estate industry and possess excellent analytical and technical skills. This is a senior-level position requiring 7 to 10 years of experience.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Engineer in the real estate industry

In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying principles, practices, and techniques

Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Attention to detail and accuracy

Roles And Responsibilities

Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the quantity and cost of materials, equipment, and labor required

Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and assess project progress

Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects

Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders

Identify cost-saving measures and propose alternative solutions to optimize project budgets

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective project implementation

Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors

Support the project team in resolving cost-related issues and change orders

Prepare documentation and reports on project costs and financial performance

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in quantity surveying
