Deputy Manager - operations / Dispatch (Bangalore Location)

Shift: Night Shift (8:00pm – 4:00am)

Language: Local language mandate – Kannada / Good English communication

Summary Of The Position

To ensure dispatch happens in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Handling dispatch operations within the schedules allotted.

Checking and ensuring accuracy in packing for vendors.

Dealing with labour to handle dispatches.

Compiling data for daily reports of activities.

Other Responsibilities

Coordination with Production Team to ensure timely Schedules. Co-ordination & interaction with for supply/delivery related issues .

Communicating Orders to the Production, based on data received .

Despatching challans to various cargo carriers – railway agencies, air freighters, etc. – 24 hours in advance.

Monitoring accuracy of label & Trip sheet/Challan data for error free packing and despatches.

Proper Deployment of Supervisors & Labour to ensure smooth operations.

Vehicles Planning with possible reductions in Costs.

Maintain all records pertaining to daily transport activity such as challans, slips etc. methodically to meet ABC audit and Internal audit requirements.

Coordination with other branches for despatch to other locations.

Analysing post-despatch data for system improvements (complaints, etc.)

Timely indent for packing materials in SAP and control over wastage of packing materials.

Preference: Supply Chain / Logistic / Despatch Background / Knowledge of Local language / ERP/SAP

Education: MBA
