Responsibilities
Download and organize all information sent from the General Contractor
Read through the specifications and analyze the drawings to perform accurate takeoffs
Send off specific requests to vendors to get pricing
Accumulate all pricing and create a project-specific bid

Job requirements
Not required but preferred to have a degree in Construction Science
Proven experience as a construction estimator, ideally 1-2 years, with a track record of successful project bids
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
Experience in software such as Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, or other construction estimating software
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost estimation
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints
Ability tomanage multiple estimates and spreadsheets at the same time
Ability to successfully communicate with customers and vendors the requirements for each project
Must be authorized to work in the US.
