Title of Position Sous Chef OR Chef de Cuisine
Job Description: The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine reports to the Executive Chef and is responsible for the overall daily operations of our production kitchen. The Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine leads and organizes a team of Prep Cooks to prepare, portion and produce a large quantity of food items daily. The Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine have the human resource, financial and administrative responsibilities as they pertain to their direct reports. In addition, the right candidate is also responsible for working directly with the Corporate Executive Chef to ensure standards are being met. A Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine must be capable of fulfilling all areas of the Executive Chefs obligations in their absence. The Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine will order ingredients and products to execute seasonal menus.

Qualifications:
The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine is preferred to have high volume restaurant management experience of at least 2 years and at least 5 years as a chef
The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine must have the ability to work successfully in fast-paced environments with high volume production
The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine must have knowledge/experience with French and Mediterranean cuisine
The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine is preferred to have a bachelor's degree or degree from a culinary school
The Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine must have excellent communication and leadership skills
