Currently, through 5 major cornerstones: Crisis-youth residential; Intensive Outpatient Services Program (IOP)-youth/SAFER; and Intensive In-Home Services (IIHS)-parents, and Level Up Economic Mobility Program.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic practicum social worker to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of social work. As a practicum social worker, you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in a real-world setting. You will work closely with experienced social workers, clients, and other professionals to provide support, advocacy, and intervention services to individuals and families in need. We provide a practicum opportunity with partial compensation at a rate of $17 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with experienced social workers to assess clients' needs and develop comprehensive care plans.

Assist in conducting intake assessments and screenings to determine clients' eligibility for various support programs.

Participate in case management meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of client-centered intervention strategies.

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, focusing on addressing their emotional, psychological, and social needs.

Conduct home visits to evaluate clients' living conditions and provide recommendations for improvements.

Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers to coordinate services and resources for clients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with agency standards and legal requirements.

Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their rights are protected and they have access to necessary services and opportunities.

Attend regular supervision and team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and receive feedback from experienced social work professionals.

Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field of social work.

Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in social work, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited social service program, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Must have a current Valid Driver's License

Strong passion for helping individuals and families facing various challenges and a genuine commitment to social justice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with diverse client populations.

Basic understanding of social work theories, intervention strategies, and the principles of trauma-informed care.

Reliable and responsible, with the capacity to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Proficient computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Willingness to learn, adapt, and receive constructive feedback.

Must be authorized to work in the US
