Job Description

Title: Travel RN- Operating Room

Responsibilities:

Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure

Perform scrub functions (if appropriately trained, and comfortable with this duty)

Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure

Room turnovers as part of a Team

Duties may additionally include functioning as a unit support technician and in the OR core.

Follow all facility Policies and Procedures related to position and role in the O.R.

Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures

Responsible for the clinical record for each patient receiving nursing care.

Assures that progress reports are made to the physician for patients receiving nursing services, when the patient's condition changes, or there are deviations from the plan of care.

Adheres to facility's policies and procedures, including patient care policies.

Performs initial patient evaluations / assessments and develops a written plan of care.

Requirements:

Demonstrates ability to measure effectiveness of care provided and documents same;

Performs variance analysis related to outcome data for performance improvement;

Designs, implements, and evaluates systems to improve care in Unit;

Keeps accurate documentation of patient’s treatment, activity and condition;

Uses appropriate methods of documentation according to departmental policy.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

RN Licensure required

Covid Vaccination Card required

ACLS and BLS Required
