How you will make contributions that matter

As an experienced Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Category Plans for Packaging. You will manage sourcing strategies to deliver the highest levels of product, quality and service for the business and any joint ventures, including business continuity plans and secondary sources of supply.

Our Procurement team supports the business as a strategic, value adding function working to optimise the supply of goods and services whilst managing potential risks. You will be part of a larger Procurement team who are passionate about the company and the industry, who are engaged and respected by the business and who strive for excellence in their role as commercial advisers.

About you

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has a unique ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You will also possess the following:

Direct (Packaging, Ingredients) procurement experience, ideally in a large, complex organisation

Prior experience managing categories specific to FMCG will be highly regarded, as will general manufacturing experience

Strong commercial acumen with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

A customer centric approach with the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships

Capacity to negotiate, identify risks and apply relevant market intelligence to make decisions

A solid understanding of procurement methodology and running tenders end to end

Prior exposure to SAP and Ariba ideally
