Description: The Nursing Director is the Nursing Leader for the Nursing Home. Responsible for the patient population and assigned nursing and ancillary staff. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the activities that take place in the Nursing Home. Provide direction, support, and guidance to nurses and other staff. Twenty-four hour accountability for Nursing Staff. Patients need care 24/7 and facility employees must be available to provide that care. Employees are to care for patients regardless of the patient s personal characteristics. Patients need care 24/7 and facility employees must be available to provide that care. Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing (BSN preferred)

2 years Director of Nursing experience and or 2 years as an Assistant Director of Nursing in a long term care facility

NM RN License; BLS certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain BLS certification
