About the Role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Toolstore Person to join our Services Team based in Lae Business Centre. This role primarily exists to maintain, clean and manage an efficient toolstore operation. Experience with Caterpillar procedure and good technical knowledge is required.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, your competency and experience will include:

Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.

Ensure customer expectations and service standards are understood and delivered within agreed timeframes.

Maintain and maximise efficiency within the warehouse through the effective team participation of the put away and picking functions, ensuring system inventory accuracy and system targets are met or exceeded.

Assist in the success of the warehouse function by participating in general warehouse activities including stock takes, maintenance, improvements, allocation of work directed from leading hand, administration, generation of information required for monthly reordering consumables and taking appropriate action where required.

About You

Tertiary Qualifications in Business or related discipline

Grade 12 school certificate is desirable.

Licences: Vehicle, Forklift, Overhead Crane and Dogging preferable

Minimum five years’ experience in the warehousing, computerized warehouse area utilizing an ERP based system, including safety, inventory control, receipting and dispatching.

Hold or gain understanding of the business systems and processes that we operate.

Background knowledge on the Caterpillar parts systems.

Atleast a year experience in a similar role is desirable.

Strong customer focus, good communication and negotiating skills.
