Position Summary:

As the Director of Sales you are responsible for leading the Sales Team in achieving financial goals and managing the overall sales process. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase sales through new clients’ acquisition and retention. You’ll also be responsible for managing the sales team, setting sales targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs.

Job Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the Director of Sales include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies.

Must be able to maintain and expand client database

Set and monitor sales team KPI’s

Managing and developing the sales team; provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure KPI’s are met or exceeded.

Track and analyze sales team KPI’s and take the necessary actions as required.

Must be able to motivate sales team to generate leads and build client relationships

Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers

Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales within a CRM system

Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of sales efforts.

Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events

Provide feedback on market needs & trends and along with the Marketing Director help expand Colourific’s brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials

Work closely with the VP Sales to ensure responsive customer communications as well as accuracy and responsiveness in processing new customers orders and quotes, and a seamless customer experience

Communicate with new customers on quotes while processing job inquiries

Work with the admin team to onboard new customers

Prepare quotes for jobs for existing customers

Work with key suppliers to request and negotiate pricing for powders

Work with the Shipping/Receiving team and the Quality team to communicate the status of projects with customers as well and any job issues or changes

Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales

Report and provide feedback to VP of Sales using sales data (volume of new customer outreach, pipeline status of potential new customers, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.

Proven track record in sales management, Industrial coatings experience is not required; we are seeking an individual with experience building out systems driven sales functions.

Minimum 5 years B2B proven outside sales experience

Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive sales and motivate the sales team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Computer proficiency required

Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

Highly organized

Valid driver’s licence
