Redstone Commodity Search are working with an major international agricultural trading house who are offering an exciting opportunity for a senior pulses trader to join their team in Canada.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Responsible for/In charge of a self-sourced portfolio, also broadening activities across a range of existing customers.

Liaising with existing clientele this involves regular interaction with customers to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Costing for any sales to factor in any expenses that the company might incur while transacting such as finance and logistics costs.

Access and analyse market relative data with a clear understanding of its relation to market moves.

Reporting into Trading Manager.

Key Qualifications / Experience

7-10 Years merchandising experience with a deep understanding of pulses products; peas, lentils, chickpeas, and plant proteins. (Pea proteins concentrates and isolates).

Relationships with potential customers such as food manufacturers and wholesalers particularly in the US food market.

Honed understanding of market trends, segmentation, and pricing across a range of products.

Good understanding of marketing and product positioning to attain higher values for trades.

Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
